


The Kenya Scholars and Studies Association (KESSA) has held conferences since inception in 2008 with notable guests presiding the occasions. The 2025 Conference was held at Georgia State University on 5-6th September 2025. In 2024, renowned writer the late Prof. Ngugi wa Thiong’o (pictured below) and the late Senior counsel Pheroze Nowrojee (also pictured below) graced the conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The 2024 theme was “Making a transgenerational impact through scholarship that matters,” and was organized through the leadership of Madam President Prof. Esther Abonyo.
